Thank you for choosing Grand View for your stay in beautiful Scarborough! This newly refurbished two-bedroom, two-bathroom home is designed for relaxation and convenience—whether you're here for a peaceful retreat, seaside fun, or exploring the Yorkshire coast.

🕒 Check-in & Check-out

• Check-in: From 4;00 PM

• Check-out: By 10:00 AM (to allow time for cleaning and preparing the property for our next guests – thank you!)

🏡 During Your Stay

• Wi‑Fi: Free Wi-Fi throughout – the code is on the router in the corridor by the master bedroom.

• Entertainment: Enjoy Netflix, Amazon Prime & Apple TV on the 55″ Smart TV.

• Kitchen & Laundry: Fully equipped kitchen plus a washing machine for your convenience.

• Beds: Sleep soundly on brand-new Emma Premium mattresses in both bedrooms.

• Pet Friendly: Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

• 🔥 Heating (Hive Thermostat):

  • The thermostat is located just outside the bathroom in the corridor.

    Turning the heating on:

    • Press the centre button on the thermostat.
    • Turn the dial to set your desired temperature (17°C–20°C is comfortable).
    • The heating will come on automatically if the room is colder than your setting.

    Quick heat (Boost function):

    • Press the “Boost” button (or select Boost on screen).
    • This will turn the heating on for a short period (usually 30, 60, or 90 minutes).
    • Ideal if you want fast warmth without changing the schedule.

    Adjusting the temperature:

    • Simply turn the dial to increase or decrease the temperature.
    • The heating will adjust automatically.

    Heating schedule:

    • The thermostat is pre-set with a daily schedule for your comfort.
    • You don’t need to change this — just adjust the temperature if needed.

    Turning heating off:

    • Turn the temperature down to a low setting (e.g. 7°C) to effectively turn heating off.
    • This helps protect the property from cold weather.

    Important notes:

    • Please do not reset or reprogram the thermostat.
    • Avoid setting temperatures above 20°C (it won’t heat the property faster, just uses more energy).
    • If the heating doesn’t respond immediately, give it a few minutes.

🚗 Parking

• You have one dedicated parking space, clearly marked Number 1 – please only use this space.

• There is room for one car only.

• If you’ve arrived with extra vehicles, they can be parked in a local car park or for free about 15 minutes’ walk away on the road up on the cliff, which you can see from the lounge window.

🧹 Before You Leave

The property will be professionally cleaned after your stay, so you don’t need to deep clean. However, we kindly ask that you:

• Wash and put away any dishes, utensils, and cookware you’ve used

• Take out the bins 

• Leave the home in a tidy condition
