Thank you for choosing Beachside Bliss for your stay on the beautiful South Devon coast. We hope you have a relaxing and memorable break in this lovely seaside home, just a short stroll from the beach and the heart of Paignton.

🕒 Check-in & Check-out

• Check-in: From 4:00 PM

• Check-out: By 10:00 AM (to allow the property to be cleaned and prepared for our next guests – thank you!)

🏡 During Your Stay

• Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi is available – the code is printed on the back of the router in the lounge.

• Parking: You’re welcome to park right outside the garage.

• Access to Town: A path behind the house leads directly into Paignton town centre – perfect for reaching the beach, cafés, and shops on foot.

• Pet Friendly: Your dog is very welcome here! Please just ensure they’re not left unattended in the property.

• 🔥 Heating (Hive Thermostat):

  The thermostat is located at the top of the first flight of stairs, on the right-hand wall, just outside the lounge.

  Turning the heating on:

  • Press the centre button on the thermostat.
  • Turn the dial to set your desired temperature (17°C–20°C is comfortable).
  • The heating will come on automatically if the room is colder than your setting.

  Quick heat (Boost function):

  • Press the “Boost” button (or select Boost on screen).
  • This will turn the heating on for a short period (usually 30, 60, or 90 minutes).
  • Ideal if you want fast warmth without changing the schedule.

  Adjusting the temperature:

  • Simply turn the dial to increase or decrease the temperature.
  • The heating will adjust automatically.

  Heating schedule:

  • The thermostat is pre-set with a daily schedule for your comfort.
  • You don’t need to change this — just adjust the temperature if needed.

  Turning heating off:

  • Turn the temperature down to a low setting (e.g. 7°C) to effectively turn heating off.
  • This helps protect the property from cold weather.

  Important notes:

  • Please do not reset or reprogram the thermostat.
  • Avoid setting temperatures above 20°C (it won’t heat the property faster, just uses more energy).
  • If the heating doesn’t respond immediately, give it a few minutes.

🧹 Before You Leave

The house will be professionally cleaned after your stay, so there’s no need to deep clean. However, we kindly ask that you:

• Wash and put away any plates, utensils, and cookware you’ve used

• Take out the bins (instructions and bin locations are in the house guide)

• Leave the property in a generally tidy condition
